Legal and Selected Non-Legal Databases

Current UNH FP Law students, faculty and staff - Check out the full list of databases at the Law Library's A-Z list, you can also access the UNH Libraries A-Z database list for non-legal databases.  These databases are licensed by the Law Library and are governed by the Terms and Conditions of each vendor, the definitions of authorized users and authorized use (see below) as well as the USNH Acceptable Use Policy. Please use these links to access the databases below:

Authorized Users and Authorized Use

Electronic resources made available by the UNH Franklin Pierce Law Library or the UNH Library are restricted to authorized users. The term "Authorized users" includes current UNH Franklin Pierce students, faculty, staff, and other authorized users—or, where permitted by a license agreement, to UNH students, faculty, staff, and other authorized users only.  They are here to support the curricular and scholarship needs of the community. Access to electronic resources through the Law Library is governed by the following:

  • University, Law School, and Law Library rules and policies
  • Contractual license and terms of service agreements with publishers and vendors
  • Copyright law

When using licensed electronic resources, authorized users are responsible for:

  • familiarizing with and complying with the licensing terms associated with the particular resource.
  • limiting uses to non-commercial, educational, or personal research purposes.
  • not systematic or bulk downloading or printing of content. Please note that downloading an entire issue of a journal or an entire book is usually considered a systematic download.
  • not sharing content with unauthorized users. Sharing content or client software used to search licensed resources to content an unauthorized user may be seen as a violation.
  • not altering content or creating derivative content.
  • avoiding any activity that may infringe the copyright notice or statement associated with the content.
  • not uploading licensed resources to generative AI platforms.

Vendors and publishers of electronic resources may have the technical means to monitor, count, control, and deny access if they suspect improper use. Such activity violates the license agreement and jeopardizes the continued access to and use of any licensed electronic resources by the entire UNH Franklin Pierce School of Law community.

Use of Lexis+AI, Westlaw, or BloombergLaw during an externship is guided by these rules.  Summer associates and new alumni have some additional rules around using your academic passwords, explained in this guide
