The University of New Hampshire Career Center and the UNH Libraries provides access to a variety of resources for researching industries and careers. One of these very valuable resources is Career Intelligence (powered by Vault) also known as Vault and the legal slice – Vault Law
“Vault is a career research tool containing more than 80 career guides and employer profiles, continually updated "insider" information on over 3,000 companies and 70 industries, including Law, with a specialty of employee surveys on thousands of top employers, a collection of company-specific message boards for employees, and an extensive free job board with thousands of top job openings.”
Here you’ll find a bunch of articles and survey rankings to help you learn more about law firms and navigate the law firm hiring process such as the Vault Law Rankings (Vault Law 100, Best Firms to work for; Best Firm by Practice Area; Best Firms for Diversity; Best Midsized Firms, etc.); Law Firm Profiles; Practice Area Overviews and more.
Here’s some basic info in what types of information you can find when looking at the Law Firm Profiles – I searched by Law and then filtered by New Hampshire and then I’m going to take a look at Bernstein Shur, a Maine based law firm.
Looking at Bernstein Shur – note that you can look at DE&I information as well as information on Summer Programs.
You can also see the overall Law Firm Diversity Equity & Inclusion Survey results from 2021 and from past years as well.
Here's Bernstein Shur's Summer Program information - don't forget to click on the + icon to get more information on "Schools Visited for OCI". The listing is alphabetical. UNH Franklin Pierce Law is here but further down on the list.
You’ll also find some helpful articles about Law School Tips; The Legal Job Search; Law Firm Life; Legal Practice Areas; Diversity, Equity & Inclusion; Alternative Legal Careers; The Bar Exam; and Lateral Job Search. Here's a sample:
