Accessing eBooks offline (for use in an open book exam that is using EBB)

Here are some suggestions to download or access an electronic casebook offline.  These instructions are not meant to address all of the publishers of ebooks.  Some ebooks may not allow you to download them or use them offline.  These instructions are for electronic casebooks for which you may have purchased your own copy.  Test them out before your exam!

Aspen (aka Casebook Connect):

  1. While connected to the internet, log into Casebook Connect and open the casebook you need.
  2. In the blue toolbar across the top, select "Offline" and then "Save for Offline Use"
  3. Select the chapters and book sections you'd like to have available offline, then click "Generate Offline Link"
  4. After your link is generated, open it by clicking the link or by clicking "Copy" and pasting it into a new browser tab or window.
  5. Bookmark the link for easy access later.

You can view your links in Casebook Connect by selecting a book, then "Offline" and "View all offline links." For additional customer support and screenshots of these steps, please visit the Aspen Publishing support page on this topic.
