Technical Support For Library Databases

Please note that access to these library databases is governed by UNH Acceptable Use Policy (AUP).

If you're having trouble accessing an e-book, online journal, database, or streaming media from off-campus, please use our form to report an access problem.

Connecting from Off-campus

Current UNH students, faculty, and staff may access most library resources, including databases, from off-campus:

  1. Navigate to the resource you want on the Library website.
  2. You will be prompted for your UNH IT ID username and password.
  3. Once verified, you will be forwarded to your resource.

Once you have logged in, you can access databases and other electronic resources available through the library website.

The USNH VPN is provided through GlobalProtect. Instructions for installing and configuring the VPN can be found through the USNH Knowledge Base: GlobalProtect VPN

  1. Connect to the USNH VPN through GlobalProtect
  2. Select the UNH Durham gateway: UNH-GW
  3. Click the star icon in GlobalProtect to set UNH-GW as your preferred gateway
  4. Search for resources as usual

Note: in September 2023, the USNH VPN switched from PulseSecure to GlobalProtect. PulseSecure is no longer supported.

USNH IT Systems Status

You can check the status of many major campus IT services (such as Canvas, campus wifi, etc.) on the USNH Systems Status page. There is also a log of recent incidents and upcoming maintenance.

Special instructions for SCC Online -

Click on the “log-in” button in the upper right-hand corner.  Select “IP Access”.  You will need to enter your UNH Franklin Pierce Law email address as a login ID under "IP Access". If this is the first time you are accessing SCC Online Web Edition using this email id, then click on the  “register here” at the bottom of the popup window. Supply your name and UNH Franklin Pierce Law email address.  If you’ve already registered just login with your email address. No password is required.
