Concord: Shopping

A look at Concord's downtown and surrounding streets

Shopping

This shopping section highlights a few places to shop, in and around the downtown area, but there are many, many more places to shop throughout the city.  Besides downtown, there are shops dotted here in there throughout the city, but most of the shops are located across the Merrimack River in numerous shopping plazas.  Stores like Rocky's Ace Hardware is right across the river in the plaza on the right.  Also there are also the familiar chains, like Target, Best Buy, Walmart and JC Penney located on the Heights off Loudon Road. Many stores offer curbside pick up.  View their websites for more details.

Stop by during every season for a look at their beautiful window displays that are very inviting. For Christmas, there are around 30 decorated trees that line up in front of the floor-to-ceiling windows that wrap around the front and side of the building.  This is especially beautiful during the city's outdoor seasonal "Midnight Merriment" event held during the first week in December.  Check the city's websites (see the fine print) for details including a current schedule of events.  Midnight Merriment is an outdoor stroll on Main Street, so it should be held.
